Every time I sit down to make a braided cuff or bracelet from polymer clay I end up with something unexpected. This is my latest.
Notice the wide and spaced out positioning of the strands. I'd wanted a tighter more braided look, but it didn't turn out that way, and I'm perfectly okay with that.
That's one of the beauties of working with clay, you may have an idea in mind, but it's best not to become too attached to that idea, because the clay may do something completely different. And then you end up with a piece you love even more.
